The Longest Trade! Trade #5

Glory to God i have recently traded the Japanese Style Sword! This trade how ever was a long trade! This is how it went down!

I traded with Pastor Jeremiah Johnson, (yeah like the Robert Redford Movie!). Many of you know Pastor Jeremiah as the bass player from the RVN Band! For you who are really in the know, will remimber my last trade with Tuesday Lemon (yes that is her real name). Tuesday's husban Eric Lemon is the drumer in the RVN Band. This is far from my first celeberty trade i just didnt pump up the fame of my last trade! Lets get back on track!

Pastor Jeremiah, even though not on Facebook, is a great friend of mine. Being a close friend he has knowlege of the Paper Clip project. He also knows that Tuesday and Eric traded with me. Pastor Jeremiah wanted to make a trade with with, and really bless me at the same time! So on thursday after we were finished volenteering at the Grace Place Fellowship Kitchen, he purposed a trade. He wanted to trade the swords for, not one but two, 15" MTX Thunder 4500 seires subwoofer! I did some quick price checking on line, and found out the value of the suds. I told Pastor Jeremiah, that there was a major price differnce between the swords and the subs. He didnt mind. He was blessed with the subs, and really didnt have the time to hook up a booming system in his car. Also i dont know if that idea was blessing his wife.

So we had a deal. One problem, the swords were home! I dont have a car so running and getting the swords was out of the question. The trade would have to wait till the next day. The next day came. Pastor Jeremiah was buisy evangelizing, and i was buisy job hunting. No trade on friday. Saturday the RVN Band had a concert out of state. they would not be back on town till late Sunday night. So the trade would be put off till monday.

So monday came as it does. I started a new job on monday (dont get too excited it is at a "sub shop" getting payed minum wage. But its a job). Tuesday came, (NOT Tuesday Lemon) as it does. Pastor Jeremiah had to coach his sons last soccer game of the season. We agreed to trade tuesday night after church. Church was awesome tuesday night by the way. I mean really great. After service ended Pastor Jeremiah got called to the hospitality room. He was buisy once again.

At this point it would have been easy for me to let my self get discouraged. But i didn't. To make a long story short. (too late.) Pastor Jeremiah and I traded last night. Jon was there with camera ready, or iPhone ready. It was a long trade procese but a great trade non the less. I have, not one but two, 15" MTX Thunders 4500 seires subwoofers, any one want to trade?

The moment of Truth.

I think at some point everyone, who is truly seeking God, comes to the place where they realize that it is not about me. The Paper Clip project was never really my project, i turned it over to God in the very beginning. But now it really has nothing to do with me getting a car. Now its about a missionary being equipped to deal with the mission fields. Its about the needs placed on the gift that God has put with-in a man. The truth is that yeah i will get a car if i get this lap-top. One quick fact-the lap top will be worth more than a Chevy Astro van! i checked it out already. So its at this point, the moment of truth, am i faced with a fact that i don't like. i really wanted a new CAR not an old VAN. The truth is i care more about what God wants. Jon is giving up 10 month of his life to serve God in the Marshall Islands. I am giving up the Paper Clip Project to equip him for the Islands. I have a major trade coming up to marrow. A BIG trade. I am not going to say what it is right now.
This project is greater then me. It has been taken over. lets all work together to send missionary Jon out into the mission field equipped and ready to serve! For I believe that this is the will of God.

A turn.

My good friend, Jon, is going on a mission trip! He will be teaching school in the Marshall Islands. The Marshal Islands are located in the south Pacific. They are extremely poor and over crowded. The Island Jon will be teaching and living on is called Ebeye. Ebeye is known as the slum of the Pacific. After WWII the US Government did A LOT of nuclear weapons testing in the Marshal Islands. The government not wanting to nuke the natives moved entire islands to Ebeye causing to be one the most densely populated places in the world. To this day many of the inhabitant of the Islands are suffering from radiation poisoning. (Don't get nervous, i am not asking for never had never will!) I want everyone to know where Jon is going and what he is getting into for the service of Jesus.

Some of you may want to know what this has to do with the Paper Clip Project. Well Jon needs a lap top, in the islands. He told me he would trade me his car for a lap top. Just to keep the record straight, His car is NOT all that! It is a 1994 Astro van. Not what i had in mind at the start of this project. To be honest i did not even want to consider this trade(sorry Jon just keeping it real). But God really showed me that Jon's need I could supply with the Paper Clip Project. And in the process of me Helping take care of Jon's need, mine would be supplied. You that have been reading my blog know that i have mention Jon a couple of times. he drove me to trade the silly string for the knife then the knife for the camera. Then he took the picture of the camera for the swords trade. Jon is a great friend, and i will miss him in the Islands. I am willing changing the premise of the Paper Clip Project to help Jon. Hey Jon i got much luv for ya broski! I have a pair of Japanese style swords, looking to trade for a lap top, or something that will help me get a lap top. Anyone want to trade?

Trade # 4!

Glory to God! I have been sitting on this for day now! Thursday night at church Tuesday Lemon (Yes that is her real name), a good friend, and a great supporter of the Paper Clip Project, came up to me asking of i would trade the Samsung S630 digital camera for a matching pair of japanese style sword. I was excited because that morning in prayer i felt that i was going to make a trade that day. My facebook family saw that i commented about, patence on that day.

Even though the swords is not what i had in mind to trade i said' "Yes". One problem, we could not do the trade that night! We were at a special church meeting in Lexington, and i am at the mercy of friends to get to where i need to be. (No my truck is still not fixed.) So we decided to try for the next day. Well nothing really worked out friday, in the day time. That left friday night.

I brought the camera to church, Jon and i arrived late. We are blaiming chik-fil-a and energy drinks. I walked into church, camera in hand. The praise team was singing, i studied the crowd looking for the Lemons. i did not see them! Fear tryed to edge into my mind. I cast it down a joined the other in praising God. Pastor got up and dedicated the service to God. Worship started still i could see no Lemons! Then i turned in hope of seeing then, and there they were standing in the back my heart lifted with joy! (Somone told me that a little drama would make my writing better, let me know what you think)

After service i talked to Tuesday. We went out side to trade. I put some pict ures of the trade up here. I would like to give a shoutout to my friend Jon for taking the pictures. Thanks "Buddy" he doesnt like it when i call him buddy! Well i have a matching set of Japanese style swords, Anyone want to trade?

The idea behind it all.

I have not hidden the fact that i borrowed the idea of the Paper Clip Project. The idea came from a guy named Kyle. please check out his web sit. its oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com I think you will find it interesting.
I believe God has me doing this. Faith is a servant. You can not give what you don't have. Faith is a spiritual force used to inherit the promises of God. No one tells a cancer patient they are being self serving when they are in Faith for healing. Its the same with poverty. Faith will heal cancer and Faith will destroy poverty. So check out Kyle and and what he did. If you got any question lets talk.

The First Week

Tomorrow will be the end of the first week of the Paper Clip Project. In one week, with Jesus leading the way, i have gone from a paper clip i payed one penny for to a Samsung S630 digital Camera! That is really exciting!
I know many of you are just sitting back watching, other are waiting for me to get something that you want. Both are fine with me. Part of my reason for doing this is to inspire hope into others peoples lives. I want people to see Faith in a new light in the dark time we live in! You see Faith is more than, your denomination, or what you believe. True biblical FAITH is DOING what you believe. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that Faith is substance of things hoped for evidence of things not seen. That definition of Faith can be a bit over whelming if it is the first time you are hearing it. Let me break it down. I am believing God for a new Car the Paper Clip Project is my way of focusing, and keeping my Faith on track. So my Faith is my new car, i cant see it so my Faith is the evidence of that car being real. Scientist can not see a black hole. So how do they know one is there? Because they have the evidence of it being there. Its the same way with Faith. Our Faith is the evidence that says something is true. Hebrews 11:2 says that by Faith the elders receive a good report! What is there evidence for the good report? Answer There Faith is the evidence! Hebrews 11:6 says that with out Faith it is impossible to please God. I know i am pleasing God!
Lets all please God together. Lets all dare to believe God for the impossible, and let are Faith be the evidence that God is doing the impossible!

A time of refreshing.

I know many people have been laid off in the recent years. I know how it feels to have a good job, and good income one day, and the next your left with out that security. There is also the feelings of rejection and second guessing and wondering what to do. As many of you know i was laid off recently from my job. My truck broke down 2 days latter.
The timing couldn't have been worst. I was jobless and with out transportation. i could have really allowed myself to be down. But i relied on God, knowing that the joy of the lord is my strength. There was a time i felt like Paul before king Agrippa. "I think myself happy." I had to push past what i naturally wanted to feel. I had to tap into the Peace that passes all understanding. Because in Peace, Joy is found. The Kingdom of God is not meet and drink but Righteousness Peace ans Joy in the Holy Ghost!
So to everyone out there that may read this. If you are facing a tough time, do not blame God. It is not His fault. He is a loving good Father that has good in store for your life. God said through the prophet Jeremiah, "I know the thoughts that i think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." That's the heart of your Father, God. If you are facing situations that don't line up with that, then God did NOT cause that to happen. Talk to God run to him in the hard times. He will give you times of refreshing.

the calm.

I figured I would hit a not as active time. This is it. Its all good though. I have made 3 great trades o my way to a new car! I started With a Paper Clip and I recently traded for a digital camera. I started this Project less than a week ago, and already things progressed beyond what i could have thought. The Bible tells us that God does exceedingly abundantly above what we could ask or think. I really see that coming true as i keep moving in Faith with this project. I expect to see great results. Because God is my source, I thank Him for every Trade! God uses People, in the earth to do His will. Read Luke 11. Thank To all who are prayerfully supporting me and thanks to all who have traded with me. But most of All Thank You Jesus for loving me and guiding me!
Its a beautiful Sunday morning. Jesus and I love You all have a great day!

trade #3!

The Paper Clip Project, is moving faster than i can. i was suposed to trade the silly string for a Case XX pocket knife yesterday, with Jesse White. Before i could complete that transaction, I had already traded the pocket knife for a Samsung digital camra, with Shawn and Amber Crowe!
Glory to God. This devine idea is moving faster than i would have thought. I really want to keep the momentum going. God is moving lets all move with Him. I want to Thank everyone that has gotten on board. I also have a special THANKS that needs to go out to Jon Dunmire. He took most of his day yesterday driving all over kentucky, to help me. Thank You Jon, and my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory!
Well lets keep rolling! I am NOT asking for money. I am looking to trade. i have a Samsung S630 digital camra, with data cable, anyone want to trade?

a testamony, the first of many.

I really feel God has lead me to trade for a new car. Small steps of Faith. Well when you get involved in Gods plan He has a way of taking care of you. I traded the can of Goofy String, for a Case XX pocket knife, with Jesse White. I did not know that Jesse was looking for beds for two girls. Well Jesse had been look at two headboards for $160. About an hour after the trade Jesse found 3 bed, head board, foot board, rails, bedding, AND matching bedroom furniture for ONLY $130! If that is not the hand of God i do not know what is! I just want you all to know that God is NOT mocked what ever a man sows that too shall he also reap. I am NOT asking for money, i simply want to trade. I have a Case XX pocket knife, anyone want to trade?

the paper clip project #3

It is still day 2 of the paper clip project. I have some exciting news. Thanks to Jesse White, I have traded the new can of Goofy String for a Case XX pocket knife! This project id moving quick, i want everyone to see and experience, this mountain moving Faith.
This is the Faith concept behind the paper clip project. I have turned a mountain into mole hills! I took a situation and broke it down into small steps i could wrap my Faith around. I know i don't have enough Faith to get a new car. I do, on the other hand, have enough Faith to trade a paper clip for a can of Goofy String. I, also, have enough Faith to trade a can of Goofy String for a Case XX pocket knife. As i manifest a trade my Faith is increased for the next trade. If you will follow this project, and if God leads you get involved. Remember i am Not asking for money. I want to trade.
I have a Case XX Pocket Knife, anyone want to trade?

the Paper clip project 2

Hi i am back to up date you on the Paper clip project. it is day 2. and last night i was able to traid the paper clip for a new can of Goofy string! Remimber I AM NOT looking for a hand i want to trade with people that want to trade. i have a new can of Goofy String, any want to trade?

the reason why.

My problem. I had just gotten my old truck out of the shop. i had over payed for the work, but what could i do? According to Attorney Generals Office, pay what they ask then i could do nothing! So that is what i did. Then 4 days latter my truck breaks down again! I was angry and ready to run it off a cliff!
To compound matters i was laid off from my job! I tried to fix my truck my self but that didn't work. I had this problem with my truck once before, I knew that to fix would cost me more than the truck books for.
Also i have responiblity with my chruch. There are times when people call me and need to go places. For example the other day a young man from church called me needing a ride to see his probation officer. I was not able to take him, because my truck was not running. Thank Jesus i was able to find him a way there.
My Problem loomed over me. i had no solution, so I prayed.
My solution. A few years back i heard of a guy that traded a paper clip for a new home, for him and his family. In the middle of everything going wrong, i was struck with a brilliant flash of hope! I could do what he did for a house, to get a new car! So From Paper Clip to Car was born! The idea is simple. I will trade items. I will trade the paper clip for an item of equal or greater value, untill i am able to trade for a new car. I started this project on Face Book because I want people to be able to see what i am doing. i also want to give people Hope in this tough economic time.
This goes beyond me getting a car. It reaches into the heart of man lets us all see, that when we work together as one we can do so much more than what we can on our own. I do not want to think that I am out hear fighting on my own to survive. I want to believe that i am not the only person out there helping others. Paul rights in the book Romans chapter ten verse fourteen, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach, except they be sent?"
I am not asking for money. I simple want to trade. I am stating with a paper clip, lets all find out where this will end!
